Live Music at the Headfort Lounge: Colin Harney
Hailing from Co. Armagh and now based in Newry, Colin has always had a deep love for country music, inspired by legends like Philomena Begley, Roly Daniels, and Gene Stuart. Though life’s commitments kept him from pursuing music professionally, his passion never faded.
At 50, Colin took up the keyboard and quickly earned respect as a talented player. Overcoming his natural shyness, he sang in public for the first time at 54—marking the start of a remarkable journey. Today, he is one of Ireland’s most successful one-man social dance and showband acts, performing in top venues across the country.
Colin has shared the stage with country greats such as Johnny Brady, Susan McCann, and Cliona Hagan, proving that dreams have no expiry date.
