DESCRIPTION:This latest exhibition of new work by Navan based artist Mary Clarke explores the themes of climate change and the environment. Mary’s collection of vibrant\, layered and abstracted images confronts the viewer\, both subtly and directly\, to provoke a reaction. Her work engages with the audience’s imagination\, to stimulate conversation\, in the hope of igniting positive action.Presented by Meath County Council Arts Office\, this collection of thought-provoking photographic prints\, collage and works on paper runs until the 28th May 2025.

DESCRIPTION:Spire of Lloyd Guided Tours 2025\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDiscover Boyne Valley are delighted to return with guided tours of the Spire of Lloyd\, Ireland`s only Inland Lighthouse with a 164 narrow step spiral staircase on a highly significant archaeological site. \nOne tour every Friday Morning for three weeks in March at 11a.m. – 11:30 a.m. \nOnline booking is essential: \nplaces are limited to book – click   MARCH 14th\,  MARCH 21st and MARCH 28th  11:00am– \n\nThe tour will begin at the Spire (Google Maps P3MV+5R)\nPlease be there 10mins before start time.\nCost per adult: €10.00\nChildren are Free\, must be accompanied by an adult\, not suitable for children under 5yrs\nFree parking\nTour duration: 30mins\nPlease note there are no toilet facilities\n\nDesigned by Henry Aaron Baker designer of the King’s Inn\, Dublin for Thomas Taylour\, First Earl of Bective in 1791 and provided work during the time of the local famine.The legendary Queen Maeve (Medbh) was said to camp here with her armies on her way to steal Ulster’s prize stud bull in the story of Táin Bó Cúailnge (“The Cattle Raid of Cooley”). \nRelax and have fun with the family in the playground area.
