Breathe with Horses
Breathe with Horses at Trohanny Cottage
A Sanctuary for Stillness, Connection, and Healing
Nestled in the peaceful countryside just outside Kells, Breathe with Horses at Trohanny Cottage offers a unique opportunity to slow down, reconnect, and find balance. Whether seeking mindful relaxation or therapeutic support, these gentle, nature-based experiences allow you to step away from the noise and into the quiet wisdom of horses.
Two Ways to Experience Breathe with Horses
1. Breathwork & Mindfulness with Horses
A guided practice in the company of horses and nature.
This deeply restorative experience invites you to sit in quiet reflection, focusing on your breath while surrounded by free-roaming horses and animals.
✔ Guided breathwork & mindfulness led by Áine
✔ No prior experience with horses required
✔ For individuals or couples (2 people max)
✔ Over 18s only
✔ No referral needed
Sessions take place outdoors, where you can relax on a raised bench, breathe deeply, and let the calming presence of the horses bring a sense of peace.
2. Equine-Assisted Therapy (Eagala Model)
A structured therapeutic approach for mental health support.
In these sessions, Áine and her horses work alongside a trained psychotherapist to provide ground-based equine-assisted therapy for adults and children.
✔ Designed for individuals facing mental health challenges
✔ Delivered by a qualified psychotherapist & equine specialist
✔ Clients must be referred by a psychotherapist
This evidence-based approach offers a safe, supportive environment for healing, personal growth, and emotional processing.
