The Flying Sportsman is everything a fishing shop should be. It sells every conceivable form of coarse and game fishing tackle – rods, line, reels, floats, flies, weights, nets, creels, outdoor clothing and so on. Tom Murray, the owner, is as friendly as he is knowledgeable and always happy to pass on tips for visitors to the area. He also sells permits for the Blackwater and the nearby trout lake, Lough Sheelin.
