Helen McEntee TD

She served as Minister for European Affairs between June 2017 and June 2020, a period of intense and successful European diplomacy by Ireland as Britain left the EU.

Helen is also a former vice chair of the European People’s Party, and held this position between 2019 and 2022.

She also served as Minister of State for Mental Health and older people from May 2016 to June 2017.

First elected to Dáil Éireann in March 2013, Helen has proudly served as a TD for Meath East since. Before becoming a public representative, she worked in the Department of Agriculture and previously for Citibank.

She is a graduate of Dublin City University, with a degree in Law, Politics and Economics and a Masters’ Degree in Communications and Journalism. Helen also attended St Joseph’s Secondary School in Navan.

She is a mum of two boys, a lifelong Meath GAA supporter and a passionate fan of music.
