Meet Your Hosts – David, Avril & Maisie
David is County Galway-born, while Avril hails from Kells. The two met up in New York City in 2003 and built successful careers in the hospitality industry there—David as a qualified chef and Avril as an interior designer. Having lived in the States for over 15 years, working, holidaying, and living life to the fullest, they returned home, bringing with them their passion for warm receptions, good grub, and proper design.

David, who is a Ballymaloe-trained chef, cooks tasty breakfasts, and Avril’s eye for detail ensures that each corner of Tom Blake House is cosy and chic. They’ve made this old house a home with their daughter Maisie and their golden retriever Blue, welcoming visitors to a real Irish welcome.
